Do you make flight arrangements?
I am happy to assist with flights as part of a complete trip, but do not make flight-only arrangements.
Do you help plan all-inclusive trips to Mexico and the Caribbean?
Yes, I love to plan all-inclusive, winter-getaway trips and am very familiar with the resorts in those areas. I can help you find the perfect resort for your vacation.
Are you able to help plan a group trip?
Yes, I enjoy working with groups and have years of experience planning multi-generational family trips, club travel, company trips and destination weddings.
Do you plan train/car/hotel travel across Europe?
It depends. If it is an area I am very familiar with or the type of trip where I can work with one of my expert in-country travel partners, the answer is yes! But I don't usually take on independent Europe travel, if that's not the case.
Is there a fee for your services?
Yes. Fees vary by complexity of the trip and amount of time involved. I will be providing professional advice and recommendations along with travel arrangements and trip assistance. Fees range from $35 for a resort/air package to $250pp for a more complicated custom trip and will be quoted upfront.
How does the process work for setting up a trip?
The first step is a discussion about your trip dreams, hopes and expectations. This can be done through email or over the phone. After I get a full picture of what you are looking for, I will provide some initial ideas along with a planning fee quote. I will then provide a detailed proposal that can be fine-tuned to make it perfect. From the time we start planning until your trip is complete, I am here to answer questions and provide assistance. I will do all I can to ensure you have a wonderful and memorable vacation.
What is your background in travel?
I hold a bachelor's degree in Psychology and Journalism from Gustavus Adolphus College. After many years in marketing at Tonka Toys and Ore-Ida, I decided to turn my passion for travel into a career. I completed a year-long travel agent certification program at a local college and began working as a travel advisor in downtown Northfield. Over the next 17 years, I served clients at Northfield VIP Travel and at Bursch Travel. In 2021, I took the exciting step of opening my own travel agency, LT Travel Design, where I’ve been proudly helping clients plan unforgettable trips ever since!
